Power is needed from the first day of construction — for the mixer, vibrator, water pump and lights — and permanently once the family moves in. They are two different connections.
Temporary Supply for Construction
Construction sites take a temporary connection, billed at the applicable tariff, for site equipment. Plan its position so cables do not cross the working area, and protect it from rain. A diesel generator as backup prevents a power cut from stopping a slab pour.
Permanent Domestic Connection
- Complete the house wiring with a licensed electrical contractor.
- Get the wiring test certificate.
- Apply online on TGSPDCL's new service connection portal, choosing the domestic category.
- Upload documents and pay the application and security charges.
- Inspection and meter installation.
