How to Compare Quotes
Convert every quote to a delivered price per tonne including GST for your size mix:
- List your requirement by size — for example 1.2 t of 8 mm, 0.8 t of 10 mm, 1.4 t of 12 mm, 0.6 t of 16 mm.
- Apply each supplier's per-kg price by size.
- Add GST if it is not included.
- Add loading and delivery.
- Divide by total tonnes.
A supplier cheap at 12 and 16 mm but dear at 8 mm may cost more for a house, because 8 mm is a large share of house steel.
